http://www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/DEC150460(Or Ghostbusters #38, if you prefer ) (That's the Valentine cover. I don't usually get those variants, but I will in this case.) Quote: (W) Erik Burnham (A) Dan Schoening (CA) Corin Howell "BENVENUTI A VENEZIA." Pack your bags! The Ghostbusters head to Venice, Italy, intending to investigate the haunted island of Poveglia, whose spirits are unusually agitated at this time... and on top of it all, Winston is beginning to get a bad feeling about the client that has sent the boys in gray to Europe. And don't be spooked by the "#2 of 4" on the listing. Erik Burnham himself, posting on the IDW board, confirms it's an error on Diamond's part. GBI is indeed ongoing

I noticed that Feb 24th (The day this comic will come out) is also the same day Harold Ramis passed away. Guess it's a coincidence, but I still can imagine what his ghost would have to say about that glorious, glorious variant cover, haha!!

In case anyone cares about specifics, Egon used a cane in 'The Sphinx' whilst out with the team trying to prove he wasn't past it. He was at first insulted when Garrett brought it to him, but then came to terms with getting older, and of course it helped him solve the Sphinx's riddle (which I was told the answer to at school when I was eight, but never mind). Egon needed the cane because he'd injured his leg a little, not just because he was struggling at the ripe old age of thirty-nine.

Further clarification with a spoiler: Egon's leg gets hurt in GBI#1, so similar reasons are involved. I remember hinting somewhere that eventually GBOT Egon uses it more as he gets older; spending a big chunk of his twenties running around haunted houses and getting thrown around by metaspectres eventually starts to catch up with him, perhaps. (Since he's now 58 years old)

And how come THAT's the only Easter egg I missed?! Urgh, all the same, I can relate to Egon right now, because my leg is currently injured as well (Cut my heel pretty deep on a broken bottle and had it stitched) and I'm using a crutch instead of a cane.
