You probably noticed the new nav bar at the side--just like the ones on the rest of the Ectozone pages, which was the point, in fact. I've always tried to find ways to make the board and the rest of the site look as much like the same site as possible, and tinkering with the stylesheets and the header templates finally gave me the result I've wanted for a long time. (It was frustrating for about a day when it wouldn't render right on Firefox, but I solved that thanks to some advice on the PhpBB.com support board)

That could only be the beginning.

One of the reasons I switched from Angelfire's free hosting to GoDaddy's was the greater freedom it gave me from the programming end. Hosting my own board was the main draw, but it also gave me the potential to write server side scripts and .php pages that would open up some new possibilities.

Last week I made the board green for St. Patrick's Day, and it seemed to get a very positive reaction. With that in mind, I've been tinkering with how this possible "Ectozone 4.0" might look; in some ways, cosmetically, it won't be as big a change as 2.0 was in 2004, or 3.0 in 2006, but that doesn't mean I won't want something to give it a little zing.

The Beta page has been updated. There's a few fan fics that have been converted to the new format (Actually, all the Ectozone fan fics are converted on my hard drive, but I didn't feel like uploading the whole kit and kaboodle for the Beta).

--Larger story logos, like the one I've used with the GBWC stories for a while now.

--New logo for GBI stories. A font file I got a few months back let me get closer to the West End Games GBI logo, and I've been playing with it.

--New GB logo I may use for the 2020+ Ghostbusters stories.

I've updated the beta page, with some even newer versions of the title logos. I played around with the effects on my cheap photo processing program, and got some good results, or so I think anyway:
