While Ragnarock and Roll was quite epic, I voted for When Halloween Was Forever just for the mere fact that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.

I'd like to find out what everyone thinks is the best epic RGB episode. To keep it to a minimum I've chose 5 of the greatest epic "end of the world" type of episodes. I've voted for Ragnarok and Roll as it's my 3rd favourite episode of the entire series. |

Oh gosh...in order to make a fair vote I feel like I'd need to watch all of these over again... But I will say you did an excellent job of choosing the "Epic" episodes as I would have chose the same...I 'think' I may have added the Boogeyman one only because he seems to be the villian that most people were scared of after watching RGB and he did make a second appearance... I will, however, outline what I DO remember of each episode: *Ragnarok & Roll just had an epic feel what with the end of the world and all...the music really added to the atmosphere, and the face that the RGB were willing to sacrifice their lives for the sake of the planet really made it "epic"...not to mention Egon's "Janine" was a huge moment... *The Halloween Door -- I mean, Ghostbusters plus a holiday that pretty much REVOLVES around ghosts...you can't go wrong! *Knock Knock was the most memorable for me, esp. that "do not open, until Doomsday" line...I remember that scene like it was yesterday, and always have...for some reason I remember the episode the most...maybe because it WAS the most epic? *I love "Sandman Dream me a Dream" and how it showcased Janine as 'saving the day' (girl power moments were far and few between in cartoons in the 80's) but world dominiation via the whole world falling asleep was an interesting concept *Never understood why everyone loved "The Collect Call of Cthulu" so much so I'm watching it now... Will get back to my vote when I've made my choice! |

I voted for Knock Knock because I found it to be the most epic. However Ragnarok & Roll is my like 3rd favorite episode in the whole RGB series. Right behind Slimer Come Home and The Grundle. |

I did consider The Boogeyman Cometh, but felt it was a little too personal to qualify for epic, end of the world status.  I never saw The Collect Call of Cathulhu as a kid because it wasn't played on Oz TV. Probably because it was "free to air TV" & they can do whatever they like. However when I saw it on You Tube for the first time last year I was quite blown away & had to include it.  I also considered Hanging By a Thread due to it involving the GBs going to Hell & having the 3 Fates in it, with the scissors & all, but wanted to keep it to a trim 5 episodes list.

Ragnarok and Roll just has that feeling about it that, just maybe, the guys aren't going to be able to pull this one off...even though, of course, they do. Hence my vote for that one. |
