Ghostbusters: Game Theory November 2007--Timeline Year Twenty Five Venkman has just returned to Ghostbusters Central with the news that a new video game is in production. Not all of the Ghostbusters are totally happy with what they're hearing... ---------------- I promise they're a lot happier than they were in the Apocrypha version, though, written a couple of years ago when I was at the depth of a depressive funk. It was the only story I ever ended up withdrawing from the site. I did say that I might re-release it when I wrote a more positive, balanced version of the story, and that's what's out today. I won't say I took out every bit of criticism, but there's a more positive perspective, and the most negative observer--Janine--does get challenged on it. Anyway, I guess I'm still on official writing hiatus, but for the Ectozone's seventh anniversary I guess I took a little hiatus from the hiatus Thanks above and beyond the call of duty to Jeff, Vincent, and Mick, who helped lanced a few parts that were still a little anachronistic and negative. |

Of course I would also have pointed out anything "wrong" with this if I'd seen it, but I guess I just don't know these characters as well as some and I don't know a damn thing about video games. The story seemed pretty good to me when I read it, and I guess now it must be even better! (I have to say, it'll be fascinating to see what, if anything, Fritz does when Ghostbusters 3 comes out.) |

I'm still not totally convinced it's going to happen, so it's not worth worrying about. And if it does, well, I think after this experience I'll be able to handle it much better |

I do recall that the slime blower mk. 2 in the game used a 'self-regenerating plasm culture', which means you always had slime ready at hand. |

Yeah, I can't remember it exactly but there's a line somewhere in there from Egon about experimenting and mixing slime from multiple ghosts, including Slimer, to come up with a mood slime that would never run out. That's also why it's green instead of pink. |

Well technically it can "run out", but it will regenerate after it stops being blasted out, hence the "venting" of the pack when you use too much in one blast. |
