So, I've basically been without the net since the first of June, my parents have no net, and I just moved for my job a week ago and this is the first time I've been able to get to a library or anything to find out what's going on, so I've been reading Proton Charging for almost 5 hours now and I just have one question:
What the Hell is going on here?
I am soooooooooooo lost!
As far as I can tell: We are getting a comp DVD of RGB by Time Life (Which is awesome and I am so buying that) We are getting 2 comic books, the tokyopop thing and the IDW thing We are getting the Blue -ray DVDs Video game is in the atmosphere whirling above our heads with no one knowing if it will ever see the light of day Chronicles of Gozer was finished and I am close to finishing it myself And the orgin story for 2021 part one was put out, but I've already read it.
Am I missing anything!
This is nuts! I've never seen so much GB news ever! It is crazy. Life is crazy! I'm crazy! LOL ghostdiva

I think you got most of it. There were some kerfluffles on GBN and GBFans with a guy named Patrick insisting to an obnoxious degree that Comic Con was going to show a trailer for a CGI GB3. Somehow he, alone among nerds on the Internet, was entrusted by a credible source from Sony with that information and all the doubters would look foolish afterwards. Suffice it to say, Comic Con came and went without such an announcement. He's since posted that the "projector broke" so the trailer was delayed. It was good for some laughs until it got so annoying that AJ and Chad banned him from their boards.

I haven't been paying a great deal of attention to this, as you will see. Is it connected to the GB3 rumour on UK media gossip site Digital Spy? I see there's been a discussion on that rumour over at the Ghostbusters Fans board, which I'm not joining in with - I really can't be bothered. Most people seem to be dismissing it as just another empty rumour. Now, I'm not saying that there definitely will be a GB3, but Digital Spy is more reliable than most people seem to realise, and I trust this rumour more than any that have gone before. At least, DS wouldn't put it out there if they didn't believe it to be true - but they do, of course, distinguish between what's definite and what's a rumour, and they are calling this a rumour.

Was there something about EGB on DVD too, or just in Austrailia?
And I am surprised that Patrick even showed his face after that, I want to say something mean but I won't.
It is good to be back on the net! ghostdiva

IT JUST DOESN'T WORK.
And part of me would want to give up the ghost (no pun intended) if there was really a CGI installment. But the loyalist in me says otherwise.
i'm waiting it out. Well, first of all is the fact that Aykroyd said in, like, every interview he's done that the video game is the third movie. He's grown to LOVE videogames as a storytelling medium, because it allows more freedom than a 120 minute film. If GB takes off, he's going to be giving other (non-GB) scripts he has to videogame producers. So, instead of something like "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six," you'll see something like "Dan Aykroyd's (insert name of series here)." Secondly, I must respectfully disagree. Have you SEEN what they can do with digital actors nowadays? Watch "Beowulf" sometime. It's a totally CG movie that flexes the CGI technology's muscles. At times, it's hard to tell if they're real or not! CG is the best medium for continuing a series where the actors are getting too old. Still...I know when a rumor is just a rumor.

Since Fritz doesn't seem to mind us going a little off topic every now and again, I think it's reasonable to express an opinion on another film which has been mentioned.
